  20. EzDesk for Windows(R) 95
  21.  
  22. EzDesk is a Windows(R) 95 utility that manages the desktop icons' layout.
  23. There are many times when a perfectly arranged desktop icons' layout is
  24. scrambled by an errant application or an accidental desktop arranged by
  25. name, type, size, or date.  Switching the screen resolution also requires
  26. the manual rearrangement of the desktop icons' layout.  EzDesk can restore a
  27. desktop icons' layout to a previously saved arrangement.
  28. By default, EzDesk installs itself as a taskbar notification icon.
  29. EzDesk is a nice complement to the Microsoft(R) power toy QuickRes.
  30.  
  31. By default, EzDesk maintains the desktop icons' layout for each resolution
  32. setting.  The registered version allows the selection of desktop icons' layout.
  33.  
  34. EzDesk offers the following features:
  35. * Managing the desktop icons' layout. 
  36. * Tiling of a selected window to the size of the screen excluding the
  37.    Taskbar area. This feature is available in the EzTask package.
  38.    (This feature is enabled only with registered version)
  39. * Submenuing of up to the last 10 Run... history entries
  40. * Clearing the contents of Documents Menu.
  41. * Clearing the contents of the temporary location (often left behind by 
  42.   a program that crashed!)
  43. * Clearing the contents of the Run... history
  44.  
  45. EzDesk Tab is an extension to EzDesk in the form of a Display Properties Tab.
  46.  
  47. Installation:
  48. ------------
  49. Installation of EzDesk is easy. First, copy the files in the archive into
  50. a temporary directory.  Then, right-click on the setup INFormation file
  51. (EZDESK.INF file.. which looks like a text file with a little gear on it)
  52. and choose the INSTALL command. When you're done installing the EzDesk,
  53. you can then delete the files in the temporary directory.  In short, the
  54. install script simply copies EZDESK.EXE into the WINDOWS directory, places
  55. a shortcut in the StartUp menu, and registers an uninstall in the Control
  56. Panel Add/Remove Software.
  57.  
  58. *** After the installation, you can start EzDesk by pushing:
  59.  
  60. Start - Programs - StartUp - EzDesk
  61.  
  62. menu.  EzDesk will start automatically on subsequent startup, unless
  63. preempted by the shift key during startup.

  65. EzDesk can be uninstalled via the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.

  67. EZDSKTAB and QUICKRES can be installed using the same method but using the
  68. EZDSKTAB.INF, QUICKRES.INF files respectively.

  75. the time is in the task bar) to popup the EzDesk menu.

  130.       This switch instructs EZDESK not to register itself in the taskbar
  131.       notification icon area.  EZDESK operates silently in the background.
  132.       To gain access to EZDESK, start EZDESK again.

  134. EzDesk Tab will be added to the Display Properties once active.

  139. remains with the distributed copies.  This product is shareware.

  143. receive all of the interim releases of EzDesk.
